Two features were screened on the fourth day of the Fajr Film Festival, which has been underway in the Iranian capital Tehran since Monday.
The two movies which were screened on on Thursday are ‘Private Meeting’ and ‘Mahan’.
‘Private Meeting’ by Omid Shams tells a love story, and it was set in the countryside.
Meanwhile, ‘Mahan’ by Hamid Shah-Hatami is about a theater actor who can finally play a main role in a stage play, but cancer changes his life path dramatically.
The screenings were followed by press conferences that were attended by the cast of the movies.
The 40th Fajr Film Festival includes two sections: cultural and competitive.
The 2022 edition of the event is headed by Masoud Naqashzadeh, and will run until February 11.
The FFF coincides with the Ten-Day Fajr ceremonies across Iran, marking the anniversary of the 1979 Islamic Revolution.
An international version of the event will be held later in 2022.
Starting from 2023, the domestic and international versions of Fajr will be once again held as part of one event titled “Fajr International Film Festival”.
Since its establishment in 1982, the FFF has played a vital role in the development of Iranian Cinema.
